Cool Halloween Graphics Set: Handmade By Me!

Posted by Tracy On October - 24 - 2008

Halloween is such an awesome time. I absolutely LOVE it. Everyone gets some sweet treats for free. Both grown ups and kids have loads of fun. And we all get to be someone we’re not for one night.

The holiday inspires me. Especially with creating. Just take a look at that cute little shiny pumpkin over there. I made that, and 13 more super cute graphics. Of course I’m still learning to sharpen my drawing skills, but I think these turned out really really good.

You be the judge and take a quick look at what I made this year:

The above weren’t terribly difficult to create, just took a little time and tweaking, but I had fun doing them. And isn’t that what designing is all about? Having fun? I think it is.

I even decided to sell the above package to my subscribers with Private Label Rights for a super scary low price. I mean, it is only about a week until the big “haunt”. Plus I threw in a couple of extra graphics sets too. If you are interested in this package, and I have any left ( I set a limit of 50 total packs to be sold with PLR ), then shoot me a message and I’ll let you know how much my subscribers paid and if you can pick one up.

Worst case scenario these can be used for next Halloween ;-)

I can’t wait for the next installment of graphics. They’re going to be geared towards Christmas. My other favorite holiday. And they’re going to be even better!

Because, the more we practice, the more we improve our skills.

And, depending on how well the Christmas collection goes over, I may just do even more for other holidays like Easter, Thanksgiving, St. Patrick’s Day, Valentines Day, and a couple others. We shall see. At least I’ll have fun creating!

Share with me what you’ve been up to or creating. I’d love to see and hear from you.

Like Video? Then Check Out VSkinZ

Posted by Tracy On July - 22 - 2008

So, I was browsing through the Warrior Forum today and stumbled upon a really superb product.

It’s called “VSkinZ” and is produced by a dude named Darren Kaye. But I’ve only known him by his Warrior username: “graphicsgenie”.

Over the past months, Darren has put out some really amazing stuff. And he truly is a graphics “genie”!

This new product, and I’ll give you a $20 off discount code a little later on, enables you to give your videos a more professional interface making you, your product, and your site, look like a pro at your game.

The examples are out of this world. The best I have seen when it comes to “video skins”.

Take a look for yourself

And, Darren doesn’t just give you 4, like in the examples, but 230 different “skin” styles that you can directly edit inside Photoshop. Say, if you like a certain style, but the color just doesn’t match your existing website. Then you can simply open that bad boy up inside Photoshop and change the color so you get an exact match.

Why would you need something like this?

Well, if you host a lot of videos on your website, and want to make them stand out from the rest of your site content, this would be for you.

Or, if you are someone who makes money selling video tutorials, then this would be the perfect solution to further “showcasing” your example videos. Or actual videos.

This is a really cool package, and I give it two thumbs way up.

With the amount of styles Darren offers in his VSkinZ package, there’s sure to be something that can help you improve your website. Not only in the layout design of presenting your videos, but especially when you are in the market of selling products. Darren claims that improving your video layout designs, that this one simple thing that takes less than 2 minutes to do, can ultimately increase your earnings.

Can it?

It could. But the only way you’ll know for sure is to try it yourself. I imagine it can’t hurt anything.

I know if I saw a site using one of Darren’s VSkinZ designs, I would definitely be more inclined to actually watch the video inside it. And maybe even purchase whatever the site owner was selling just because of the exciting design of the VSkinZ video skin.

Sounds funny, right?

Well, that’s not really a far stretch. People really do make purchases based on looks. That’s why having a jazzed up ebook cover or ebook will help convert “lookers” in to “buyers”. People make a lot of decisions based on first looks. Looks are important to making a sale.

Don’t believe me?

Next time you feel an “urge to splurge” on something, take a few moments to figure out why. The answer may surprise you. When we impulse buy, normally, it’s not because we need the thing, but because we want it. And, often times, it’s because we like the way the product looks. Or, will make us look if we need an ego boost.

Think about it. When someone purchases a new car, what are they buying? Just a simple “mode of transportation that will get them from point A to point B”? Or are they buying a super hot sports car that looks awesome and will make them look cooler while getting them from point A to point B?

Bingo!

There’s your answer :-)

Now, if you haven’t already, visit Darren’s VSkinZ site and check out what he’s got to offer.

And, while your there, put in the following coupon code: WARRIOR

That will knock $20 off your purchase.

I don’t know how long Darren will be accepting the above coupon code, I read it was only for the next 12 purchases, so if you like what you see, and I know you will, then you should pick up Darren’s package before he disables the $20 off code and you’ll only be able to get it by paying full price.

Bonuses?

Yep. Darren gives you some really good ones with the package. I won’t tell you what they are, you’ll just have to go and see them for yourself.

But, I will tell you this….

You will NOT be disappointed with Darren’s VSkinZ package. It is a super solution for those that want to spruce up the way they present their videos to the World!

The last thing I’ll say is that VSkinZ is a really well put together package worth the small cost that could improve your earnings bottom line. And it will most definitely attract more attention to your videos and your website by using them.

Free Graphics Tool - Sort of Like Photoshop - But Easier!

Posted by Tracy On April - 17 - 2008

Well, that’s what I’ve heard anyway.

I’m gonna put the direct link right here on top before I do a break down on my thoughts about the free tool.

http://www.dotpdn.com/downloads/pdn.html

The name of the tool is Paint.NET and it’s pretty cool.

First off, it is indeed 100% free to use and download. And that’s a plus, especially for the budget conscious ;-)

Second off, if you’ve used Photoshop before, then finding your way around this program shouldn’t be too complicated. Many of the tools available to use inside it are just about the same.

There are some differences, though.

But overall, it’s a decent tool for being free.

The one downfall is that, from my own inspection, it couldn’t handle images with a .psd extension.

What does that mean?

Well, it means that if you have images that were created for use with Photoshop, such as a .psd image, they won’t open inside of Paint.NET.

But, as I said, if you’re on a tight budget and don’t have cash to spend on higher end graphics editing tools, then this might be a solution for you. And, if you don’t like using GIMP.

As a bonus, Michael Fortin has set up a video tutorial showing you what can be done with Paint.NET here:

Pretty much, you’ll have to decide for yourself if this is something you can make use of.

You’ve got nothing to lose by downloading it and checking it out.

Free ClipArt To Download

Posted by Tracy On April - 16 - 2008

OpenClipart is a site that offers free to use, and royalty free clipart graphics.

A really cool thing is that instead of having to hunt through and download each graphic one by one, you can download the whole collection.

And remember, it’s 100% free to download and use for either your personal projects or commercial projects.

Here’s the link: http://openclipart.org/

Enjoy!
